I preface this review with the statement that the following comments are my preliminary observations. I have been installing crochet braids in my hair for the past year, and thanks to that bastion of learning a.k.a Youtube, I managed to streamline the process of crochet braiding from an all day marathon of third degree hot water burns, tired arms and a sore bum, to a two hour installation period Of course, this is only possible because of the precurl method, in which I spend about two hours each for three days combing, conditioning and wrapping Marley hair on rods and them dipping them in hot water.I was happy to find a product that eliminated the pre-curling process for me. I watched/read reviews on the product and was a bit iffy about buying them, given the initial negative feedback that seemed to abound when the hair first hit the market. However, I noticed that the comments from users became more positive over time, and decided to give the hair a try. I bought about seven packs in total.I have noticed that when people say a crochet style only took three or four packs of hair, it means I have to use at least six packs of the same hair for the same style. Maybe my head is just that bigThe curls are pretty huge and are a bit overwhelming if installed as is. I found it better to split the curls in half. The hair texture is pretty coarse. Like the hair was just rolled on rods and dipped in hot water without using some conditioner to soften the hair a bit. In my experience the use of a little (cheap) conditioner on the kanekalon goes a long way in improving not just the texture, but the longevity of the curls. It also eliminates the frizzing seems otherwise inevitable with synthetic hair.Such is the case with the Jamaica bounce hair. Splitting the big curls in half makes the hair so frizzy, that it becomes tempting to throw it away. I had to smooth some of the curls out post split with some shea butter or hair butter, but that only worked in the short term. Installation is very easy, but after wearing this hair for about three days, I find that it looks like I have been wearing it for two weeks. With my old Marley hair, the curls looked fresh up to four weeks after I put them in. Even when I cut them off, they still look as if they could easily go for another month and the curl definition is tight and bouncy. Not so with the Jamaica bounce hair. I now have to see if the curls will flop over the next week.On the plus side, I only had to install a little over three packs of hair in my head and the style is thick and full. However, I am not sure that I will re purchase this product in the future, unless there are some improvements made to its quality.This hair was simply beautiful. I separated each piece a total of 3 times in the front and only twice in the back. I ordered 5 packs but used 2 full packs and about 3 pieces from the 3rd pack. The only con is that the hair does tangle quite easily, but to fix the frizz I trimmed the scraggly pieces once every 2 days and lightly misted the hair with water and conditioner from a spray bottle, then I ran my fingers through it and it was like new. Oh another product I used was a bit of mousse just to revive the curls like once every 3 days, I wore this style for a total of 3 weeks but it could have stayed at least another week or two. Hope this was helpful. I'd definitely purchase again, can't wait to use the other 2 3/4 packs that's left!! ??I received a lot of compliments on how bouncy and natural the hair looked. It was my favorite hair back in 2018. I have locs now but I definitely would wear them again over my longer hair!Hair was good for the price and looked nice initially, but not good for longterm... tangled and had to leave in an up do. Got 3 packs and was still a lil scanty.The hair looks natural but it tangles a lot and looks frizzy. I wore it for a week and had to take it out.I bought a few packs from my local beauty supply for my first install and found the hair to be very hard and ratty after separation.I gave this style another try and ordered from this supplier. The shipping was fast and the hair was soft and easy to manage.My only complaint is that they need to put more hair in it.This hair is very nice. The colour is very vibrant and bright. The hair sheds as expected with synthetic hair.Picture did not look like product and the feel of hair was not good.+ took too long to refund returned product.
