I AM HAVING A BLAST WITH THIS GET-UP (I got the Santa one with a loopy beard you can button on or off). I had some hesitation because I knew some people going through really hard times, but when you reach 70, well, we've all been through it. YOU CANNOT IMAGINE when I walked into the waiting rooms of my dentist and surgeon (long time associations) EVERYBODY HAD TO LAUGH AND CALL IN THE WHOLE STAFF, patients even! So worth it and glad I made the final decision to go for it. I just unbuttoned one side so I could drink my coffee while driving.I loved it. One problem~ the smell. I had to put it in a dry cleaning bag with the wet/fresh cleaning sheet and toss in the dryer for at least 30 minutes. It was a gift so I did not want to wash it. But it did get the worst of the smell out. I would recommend that if you buy this make sure you have a few days to air it out. However, my grandsons loved them.Hat was well knitted to fit my tiny skull, but I'd planned to put in on over a clown wig to crack-up my 75-yr-old aunt fighting breast cancer for Xmas - boo. Quality of yarn is solid, as is construction & shipping time. Only, um...-factor was: w/out some kind of skin-fabric adhesive to hold the mustache of the beard in place, you better have REALLY fat lips (& and no lipstick) to keep it in place.It kept me warm at night on a hay ride looking at Christmas lights. It’s cute because it’s different then just the same ole same ole Santa hat. It’s looks to be home made. You may just wear the hat If you choose. Inside the hat on both sides is a button. To which the beard can be attached to stay in place. It’s perfect to wear for fun around Christmas time to protect your face in cold weather. Each to their own- it worked for me.THis was the hit of the office white elephant gift exchange. A lot of fun and reasonably priced It brought a lot of laughs from the men in the office who have recently shaved off their "Movember" beards- everyione wanted to know where to get one.this was very cute but the beard mustache part always slides down. may need to use tape or something underneathMy son absolutely loves it! Everyone gets a real kick out of seeing him wear it with the mustache/beard down! Of course, the mustache and beard can be tucked inside the hat if need be. Great for "Crazy Hat" day at school :)I love this hat! The buttons for the beard keep it on snug, I don’t have any worries that it’ll accidently unbutton. The hat fits really nicely. Took beard off numerous times though in order to eat/drink.
